I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to many places. I got to go to Japan. My brother was there so he took me to some really cool sites. One place I got to go to was the fish markets. This was really cool but it smelt pretty bad. We also went out to eat at a nice restaraunt. My older brother ate sushi while my other brother made faces (he doesn't like sushi). I also have awesome pictures from Hiroshima. They are very moving. I am glad that the location of the bombing is currently a peace memorial. In fact I took a class called "The Birds of Peace". This class was enspired by a book written by Dr. Walter Enloe. He helped teach it along side Gretchen. The class covered many ideas and incidents pertaining to the A Bomb and its effects on the city of Hiroshima.
Another place I went to was San Fransisco. We went to the Fishermans Wharf. I got to eat the best Clam Chowder ever. I also got to see some huge trees at Mears Park. There are trollies in the city of San Fransisco. One of the trollies goes by the worlds crookedest street. I also got to see the golden gate bridge. It was very pretty. I love spending time on vacation and seeing new things. I learn better when things are hands on and engaging. So traveling helps me.

Hi, my name is Devra Goldstein I am eighteen years old. I attend school at Avalon. Avalon is a project based charter school, located in St. Paul Minnesota. I am a junior this year and I plan on attending untill I graduate. I love my school because it allows me to work at my pace and the teachers do a great job modifying the ciriculum to fit my needs.. Which is critical to my learning. I use a communication device. My communication device is called a dynavox. I come from a medium size family. I have two brothers named David and Daniel.
